Flash the Huawei P30 ELE-L29 with Huawei Multi Tool
First, extract the zip file of the firmware file so you will get the .xml file that is inside.
On your PC, download all the drivers listed above and install them on your PC, and reboot your PC when you finish the installation.
The next step is to download the Huawei Smartphone Multi Download Software to your PC, extract the file, and proceed to the next step.
Go to the folder you extracted the Huawei tool to, locate the “QPBLFBML01.exe” and open it to launch the Huawei Smartphone Multi Download Software.
On the next screen, choose the manufacturer as the user to continue.
Click on the three (…) to locate the .xml file that you extracted from the firmware.
Click and open the .xml file on the Huawei Smartphone Multi Download Software to load the flash file to the tool.
If it prompts a password, leave it blank and proceed to the next step.
Connect your phone to the PC with the USB cable, but ensure that it is in fastboot mode.
To boot your Huawei P30 ELE-L29 to fastboot mode, power off your phone, plug the USB into the PC, and while the phone is off, hold the volume down button and plug the USB into the phone while still holding the volume down button; the fastboot will appear.
Now that the phone is in fastboot mode, unplug it and plug it back into the PC to be recognised in fastboot mode.
Next is to click on “Scan & Download” to begin the flashing.
Wait a few minutes for the flashing to complete.
